Different factors determine the acceptance or rejection of an e-learning system:
1. In the first instance, certain personal and environmental variable play a role, such as
a. Learning-related expectations of personal effectiveness: The students assume that they can complete the learning task with appropriate effort.
b. Computer-related expectations of personal effectiveness: The students assume that they can handle the system.
c. Learning motivation: The students are motivated to learn.
d. Computer-related attitudes: The students are open to new technologies.
e. Computer literacy: The students can master the technology.
f. Relevance of learning content: The students perceive the learning contents as relevant.
g. Usability: User-friendliness of the system
2. If these prerequisites are met, this contributes to the perceived usefulness of the learning system and the
3. perceived ease of use of the system.
4. Both of these factors lead to a positive attitude towards the use on the part of the students (attitude toward use)
5. who finally use the system (actual use).
