Criteria catalogues
Criteria catalogs
EPL: Pages 3 to 6 of the paper version explain the use and provide instructions on how to fill out the EPL are explained. There are also various recommendations for weighting, conditions of use and analysis.
AKAB: In the help function of the electronic version of the AKAB, there are instructions on weighting and analysis. It is recommended that those products who score better than 2 in detail are assessed.
In addition to the general instructions, it is recommended that the following aspects are considered when using criteria catalogues (adapted from evaluationsnetz, 2005) :
- Practice makes perfect: practice using the criteria catalogue selected before putting it in practice.
- Read the instructions of the criteria catalogue and make sure that you have understood the meaning of the criteria and how the assessment should be performed.
- Consistency if there are multiple evaluators: If several people make an assessment make sure that the benchmark (when is the criterion met?) is understood and used by all participants in the same way (discuss and define in writing if possible)
- Completeness: Process, if possible, all criteria in the catalogue which are relevant for your product.
- Additional
criteria: If necessary, determine which additional criteria should be included.
